My evo runs upto 1.3bar boost but holds 1.1bar. It has been sugested to me that I need uprated spark plugs, colder plugs to be exact. Has anyone tried colder plugs? were the results good/bad. Are standard heat rating plugs ok but upgraded to for example HKS Iridium plugs needed. All input greatly appreciated.

I'm using NGK BPR7ES plugs, (A 7 heat range, what everyone is using here in all turbochrged engines; it is a cold plug) and they work fine. Have you had the plugs properly gapped? So many people forget to do that, causing misfires at high RPM, especially under heavy loads. It's cheap too, and doesn't mind part throttle cruising.
