Just got back from a 100 mile round trip to put a few more run in miles on the clock on one of my favourite A roads around, lovely day for it as well the sun is out the road are dry but I have to keep the car below 4000rpm so it was a very nice and steady drive.

The only annoying thing was that 3 cars wanted me to have a little play with them but I just fought the temptation and left them alone.

The first car was a Lotus Esprit V8 Turbo, then the second to have a go was a 22B and then a Escort Cosworth.

It was a shame that my car was not run in because I would have loved a play with them, especially the Lotus, but I suppose there will always be another chance. :D :D :D :D ;) :p :)

lol sounds familiar. I went out for a spin in mine to get some more miles on and as I got to a junction a brand new 350Z drove past in the direction I was going. So out I pulled and eventually got to a dual carriage way.

He looked over and we sort of acknowledged each other. I though he was gonna give it some but I think he was running his in too. Would have loved a play too

why do you need to run it in, I thought it was Gaz's old engine?
It is but he totally stripped it down, made sure everything was ok and replaced all the bearings, so just to be on the safe side Gaz thought it would be best if I give it a good run in because at the end of the day the engine was never intended to be used as a road engine. :)
