Where is the northern meet? I live in Ncle on Tyne and amp; would like to know what's happening in the area. Will be at Croft in July members attending please note fill up before arriving at the circuit as there are no filling stations on site, and you KNOW you're going to use at least 1 tank full!! See you there. Blue Evo 6 2 vt

Hi Victor,

Doesn't seem to be many Northerners on this board (anyone below Scotch Corner is a Southerner http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/wink1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle > ) and certainly very little going on ref socialising. If you go across to Scoobynet there's some guys sorting drives out from Newcastle.

Are you not going to Croft in March with the SIDC? I'm going in spectator status only [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/sad1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >

Anyone who is going to Croft, let me know - SUL is a rare blend up here and I know where the nearest outlet is (almost 10 miles from the circuit).

Edited to add ----- ps I'm from Darlo.

See you around [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >

Hi Mark, thanks for getting in touch. I'll take a look at the site you suggest. Fancy being a passenger at Croft at the mlr track day in July for a few laps?

It depends on what you call 'North'- England or Scotland.

Us 'Northeners' have a meet on the first Sunday in the month. and often get up north'ish.

I take offence to anyone calling me a southerner!

Peely I would have thought that you would know that Newcastle upon Tyne was in Northern England not Scotland.

Victor,

Would love a passenger ride around Croft - it's a few years since I drove round it in my Uno Turbo.

If you're ever passing Warden Law Kart circuit (just off A690 Sunderland end) on a Saturday, feel free to give my 250cc gearbox kart a blast (uses a Yam DT 250 engine). It has a bit less power than the EVO but doing 70 - 80 into the bend at the end of the start-finish straight, 2 from the ground is something you need to experience http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >.

Peely,

Wondered how many people would shout up. I suppose I'm a Southerner to Chunky [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/wink1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >

Hi you Northeners, I'm a 'Mackem' ( from Sunderland if you did'nt know) but now 'reside' in Worksop. For my sins I am the MLR Northern Events Co-ordinator and I get involved in all the MLR events North of Watford.

We have a EVO v SCOOBY rolling road shoot-out at Batley (Leeds) on SUNDAY 25 th FEBRUARY (more details are available under ROLLING ROADS in forum) so please feel free to come along as a 'social'. I am also looking for cars to go on our stand at the DONCASTER SPORTS and amp; CUSTOM CAR SHOW in early April, How about having a Sunday meet possibly somewhere in North Yorks?

Please let me know if you are interested in any of the above.

TrEVOr ( EVO 1)

Victor,

Sounds good to me http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle > I'll e-mail you when I know I'm going to the circuit (2 strokes only allowed on Sat and Wed) if your lucky I'll even clean it!. What type of Kart did you race? - mine started life as a 210cc Villiers (getting on a bit and looks it) but I couldn't get away with the terrible reliability and awfull gear selection. I managed to get hold of the 24 yr old Yam trial engine which has much better reliabilty. You can go out and thrash it all day long and it doesn't seem to protest much. Performance is similar to the modern 100 and amp; 125cc straight drive stuff for acceleration but I have the top speed advantage when the full circuit is opened up.

Good to see you've found the Scooby guys.
