Has anybody fitted one of these? Is it really an improvement over the stock shifter? Not that the original shift action is bad, mind-- I was just wondering and could be tempted to fit one of these kits if there's a noticeable improvement.

In my experience with other cars, shortshifters also make the shift action a bit stiffer or notchy.

Finally, how much should I expect to pay for these, and how easy/difficult is it to install?

Cheers!

Ive now fitted two B and amp;M short shift kits to evo's,
its quite simple , only a few basic tools needed. First
one took me about an hour and a quarter, second about 40 minutes,
reckon I could just about knock one out in half an hour now.

Difference is fantastic. They say it reduced throw by 25%, but it feels
more, the gear change is orgasmic now......

All my stock of B and amp;M's have gone now, but ill be getting some more mid Jan,
price will be £139.99 inc vat and del and £149.99 if you want it fitted.

Highly recommended.

I am also interessted in a short shift.

Just two question: Is the shifting-stick shorter than the original one or has it the same lenght?
Are there big differences in alternative kits to the B and amp;M?
