Depends on the situation but generally yes, max power (horrible mag!) |EQU| gear change. For take off (1st gear launches) drop the clutch at about 3500 rpm much more and you get a smoke in the cabin from the clutch (belive me!). 1st gear launching is a fine artform that I haven't managed properly or consistantly yet as it always seems to bog down or burn the clutch (luckily only twice so far and very minor) that has always been the problem with grippy 4 wheel drive transmissions. Mind you I've only had the car 3 weeks! Is it worth fitting an uprated clutch and if so what one? Can the standard transmission take an uprated clutch with out too much strain? Obviously max out 0-60 runs will eventually bugger any transmission no matter what clutch you have but is the Evo transmission quite strong? (I belive it is).
