hi all,

fitting my piper 265/265 ultimate road cams,pullies,springs and retainers next week,i have never set up cams before and would be very gratefull if someone could give me a step by step procedure of how to do this?

Hi mate,first install the pulleys in the 0 degree position when the 1st piston is on top,after the cambelt and all screw´s are fitted,you need a gauge to measure the lift of the valve,i dont know how it is called in english,sorry :D ,install the gauge that it goes on top of the valvespring retainers,that you can see what lift it makes,you should see full inlet lift at 108 degree past TDC/exhaust 107 degree past BDC,install the round degree plate(plastic) on the crankshaftpulley,with 0 to the point 0 degree from the pulley,then you only need to turn the crankshaft and look when the lift of the valve is at max,you need to turn the campulley to the right position,that´s it,same on the exhaust side,i will put in a pic in some hours,maybe this helps :D
