I know this has been discussed here before, but can't find anything about it anymore. The back of the drivers seat in my E6 GSR will not stay in the position I set it to. I like it quite upright, but every time I get into the car it has sinked back a bit a needs re-adjusting!! Has anyone found a solution to this? Can anything be tightened to stop it from happening?

Thanks

Dave

Thanks for the response Evoboy. Do you have any contact info for Recaro? Their web site is completely useless.

Hmmmm. The seats in my RSX do this too. I've never bothered to try and sort it out, as the Recaros in my old (don't laugh) Escort RS Turbo did the same thing. I just assumed it was a trait with Recaro seats.

If you want to speak to Recaro in the UK, then give them a call on 01926 484111, and ask for Sue Mikulsky.

Their address is:

Recaro UK Ltd.,
Unit F7,
Holly Farm Business Park,
Honiley,
Warwickshire,
CV8 1NP.

I've just spoken to Sue at Recaro, and she tells me that there are repair kits that will sort this problem out.
Apparently, it's nothing more than a foam insert that goes around the shaft to the recline control and stops it from slipping.

I'm sure if you were to give her a call, then she could find it what kit is required for your particular seats, and get one sent out. At this point, I'm not sure if there is any cost to the customer involved.

Spoke to Sue earlier too and she supplied Mitsubishi UK with a supply of parts to fix this problem not so long ago. These have all gone now, but she is in the process of supplying more. Apparently Mitshubishi are fixing the problem on both UK and import cars, hopefully at no cost to the owner.

She gave me a number at Mitsubishi, but I cant get through to anyone yet despite leaving messages. When I do I'll you know what happens.
