·This morning I was a rolling road virgin....no more though!
Thanks must go to John for organising the bash and to the guys at Star for being very efficient in getting the 25 or so cars on the rollers before dark! There was a good turnout of Imprezas with UK models and imports being represented about evenly. Pity only 2 VIs and turned up, and then one of them (sorry I never got your name!) couldn't go on due to a bulge in one of it's SO2s http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/sad1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >
Hats off to John though for the best figures of the day, 334bhp and 297lbs/ft was enough to see of anybody, including a 22B running on 104RON racing fuel(!). Must be in with a shout for the MLR Power Trophy? [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >
Me? 'Only' 200bhp and 220lbs/ft, although in my defence the car does need a service. Still a bit down on the 210-220bhp I was expecting [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/sad1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle > the torque figure made nice reading though, with nice smooth curves for both power and torque. I'm sure next time I'll have time to get 1bar and a service in before putting it on the rollers again [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >
p.s. - It's a pity that the printout was from the second run, almost everybody's cars made more power on the first run due the intake being cooler, John's VI being a notable exception. I lost 3bhp and 14lbs/ft between the first and second runs, and only have the chart from the second run [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/sad1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle > The guy (Jim?) operating the rr said he knew it was a bit of a bummer, but they needed to get everyone's cars on and off asap to fit 'em all in and printing the chart took about 2 mins, in which time the computer was useless!
