New to this site.. I’ve recently opened a wanted thread..

seems to be a lot of scammer on here wanting to be contacted direct to email and paying direct transfer

If you report the contact we can ban them. You can report messages as well as posts. Without reporting them - we don't always know anyone is being contacted, so please report anything like that.

I’ve had so many messages too, from brand new members with zero posts so far asking to contact them through email! Fake images of products etc: what is wrong with people!

Sadly you'll always get scammers wherever you go! Good thing you're aware of it though dude, thanks for sharing! What parts are you after?

Ahh okay a family friend has a lot of Evo 7 bits for sale in Suffolk, I have a ralliart sportback based off the Evo x so it's no good to me, I'm not sure if the 7 and 8 part share? I can speak to my uncle and pass some details on if you're interested!

It would still happen with the old forum in these modern times. They are literally every page you go on, I fish and on the various Facebook groups the amount that get scammed with F&F or BACS only is eye watering. Never pay that way, I only sell with PayPal goods and services or on collection. Protects the buyer

It happened all the time on the old forum... the only difference now is that 'new users' don't need approval before they post and are allowed to reply to wanted ads and place forsale ads without having to prove they are genuine forum members - those practices aren't in place anymore; but even with those we still have a lot of scammers.

sammers are everywhere, your due dillignece and awareness is important. Sadly. Its just a sign of the times. Much the same to the OP, when i was looking for some bits, all of a sudden loads of scotums come and contact me.

I'm only here to clean up these days, I don't actually 'work' here anymore 😄 I have a full time job at Ross Sport which keeps me very busy, so don't have the time to do it. I doubt very much the current owners would re-introduce it.
