Rob and amp; Paul spoke to him, he was a bit miffed that he couldnt get the start off the line sorted, and didnt want to push it too hard in case he did any damage - at least he gave it a try.

Rob VI - did notice the rubber on your shoes smokin on way to burger van!!! Will have to sort a meet out in between Cambs and amp; Lincs sometime. (With food near by of course!)

(anyone heard from the guy in the 340/7..or is he at beachy head?)

Rob VI, are you suggesting that I could have commited suicide, can we all not just say that I was just testing different settings in the car or something!!

Yes I know, it was difficult to get many runs in though, but more practice is definitely needed, but I still want to be a little careful with the car!!

Must say though, your car looks fantastic, don't particularly like the look of the 7, but yours looks good in black.(keep poilishing)

Sorry, didnt know your 'nick name'. Not being a great lover of the 7 either, must agree with Rob VI, your does look good in black, saw a reims blue one at Trax and it looked awful. I think its a case of getting the right colour for the car and you seemed to have done that.

I agree with you, dont push the car too hard yet, too many ££££££££ if you do any damage!

it was good to see the moped boy knocking on for 80mph..there were quite a few cars slower than that.

I cant believe that some cars struggle to get over 70mph in 15 secs...pathetic..although amusing

Me and matt did catch one guy in his escort picking his nose half way up the strip.

good to meet everyone, and have a chat...

simon kicked arse as usual (even though he was disappointed)...
i got lost (on the m1, dont know how i managed that).
AntsEvo: may not of been the quickest, but you have bigger balls than most, taking a brand new car on there, i still havent done one, six months later
Daz: still got the cleanest car
Teri/rob/paul: nice to meet you all, hope to see you soon, hope you can make it down to boxhill next week, as fastchick/geffers and the full south mimms crew should be in attendance.
Rob: dont know why you run to the burger van, it was the pits (or did i order the wrong thing).

All,

Does that mean I officially win the 'show and shine' competion ?

Ant - Must agree, your 7 looks mean as fick in black, best one I have seen.

Teri - My Brother in Law said you have a nice bum.

Lee - Your car sounds ace, when you overtook us on the carriage way it made me go all hard !

I'm upset that I haven't joined the Hiper muffler club yet ! But, as you all noticed, I was well behaved on Sunday. So with a bit of luck there might be something long and hard under the xmas tree for me.

Love ya,

D

Thanks everyone for the nice comments about the car, as you all know it took me a while to like it, although getting a black car clean is not very easy, and i'm terrible a trying to get time to do it.

As for taking a brand new car out like that, well why not, whats the worst that can happen!! (alright don't answer that!)

lee,

I have attended many motorsport events around the world and have eaten some of the filthiest burgers in history, sundays were up there with the best. having said that did have to make a dash for the pan about 8 o'clock. also spoilt a game of tennis I had planned ;)

I must of missed you all as I was cuing up most of the day.Why didn't any of you go down the strip? Its not as hard wearing on the car as you think !
Spotted the Evo7 ,does look quite nice but the other half took a shine to the Icelle blue E6.
She nearly got into a scrap with a scoob driver ,the guy who had the white one ,another girlie was going to smack him with a tyre iron.Well he did push in the cue and you don't do that to a woman especially if your a bloke.Any was he was fking shite down the strip. All action though.
Best time I achieved was a 13.7s @102Mph.
I now know that after 2 different strips 2 different times of year 3 strip runs at each.My average timings are
13.8s @ 101 MPH,so I will take this as gospel that the car is not capable of anything faster in it current guise.best at york was 13.5 @104 Mph and others around this .
Simon my 1/8 th times are very similar to yours on time and mph,but your car kicks in with the higher horses and torque in the higher gears longer legs.My Evo 4 about 290 Hp don't know the torque [any one help out as though it might be around 217lbs /ft.
Must admit the run with the skyliner was a suprise ,kept together to about 95 and the big Hp kicked in ran [email protected] against my 13.9 @100mph.
One of the drag beetles gave me a good run.very similar time to me .
The sky lines did it for me though ,for a street legal motor .Brutish .
Shame just 3 eveos went down the strip ,no cross section to analise from.
One thing is I shaln t spend any more money on engine mods apart from a boost controller perhaps ,as the difference in 100 mph figures are marginal, which will be cancelled out on road driving .
Bigger brakes ,better suspension and driver ability would be the investment .but then I shall buy a car with all this on it and do some more river tuition work when I get a chance.
No more drag strips for me untill I get another car or a boost controller.

Must agree - you were well behaved on Sunday. The Evo kiddies got on really well. I thought you were from Derbys - if so - how the hell did you manage to get a Brummy accent?!?!?!? I wont take the pee too much as my Mums family are all in the land of Brum.

How many days now til you get your license back? Bet you cant wait to get driving the TME again.

Are you, Jules and Amber going to Donington on the 5th?

We are hoping to go along to Snetterton too. Who won the s/bikes? (not that it matters too much as Reynolds had already got the title).

Have been to Donny a quite a few times, its looks a fast but flowing circuit, a bit more tame than Cadwell!!
