I must of missed you all as I was cuing up most of the day.Why didn't any of you go down the strip? Its not as hard wearing on the car as you think !
Spotted the Evo7 ,does look quite nice but the other half took a shine to the Icelle blue E6.
She nearly got into a scrap with a scoob driver ,the guy who had the white one ,another girlie was going to smack him with a tyre iron.Well he did push in the cue and you don't do that to a woman especially if your a bloke.Any was he was fking shite down the strip. All action though.
Best time I achieved was a 13.7s @102Mph.
I now know that after 2 different strips 2 different times of year 3 strip runs at each.My average timings are
13.8s @ 101 MPH,so I will take this as gospel that the car is not capable of anything faster in it current guise.best at york was 13.5 @104 Mph and others around this .
Simon my 1/8 th times are very similar to yours on time and mph,but your car kicks in with the higher horses and torque in the higher gears longer legs.My Evo 4 about 290 Hp don't know the torque [any one help out as though it might be around 217lbs /ft.
Must admit the run with the skyliner was a suprise ,kept together to about 95 and the big Hp kicked in ran
[email protected] against my 13.9 @100mph.
One of the drag beetles gave me a good run.very similar time to me .
The sky lines did it for me though ,for a street legal motor .Brutish .
Shame just 3 eveos went down the strip ,no cross section to analise from.
One thing is I shaln t spend any more money on engine mods apart from a boost controller perhaps ,as the difference in 100 mph figures are marginal, which will be cancelled out on road driving .
Bigger brakes ,better suspension and driver ability would be the investment .but then I shall buy a car with all this on it and do some more river tuition work when I get a chance.
No more drag strips for me untill I get another car or a boost controller.
