Hi,
I want to install a roll-bar in my Evo VI.
The only one I found is made by OMP. Can anbody give some input about roll bars???
Does anyone know some specialists for Evos in Germany....can´t find one.

There are several Roll Cages available for the Evo. It depends what you need it for. Group N or Street. There are roll cages that retain rear seat use. Cusco or Bozz Speed. Check out MAXI's MSN community (EvolutionV), it has pictures or try the HKS Kansai or Bozz Speed sites.

There is a company that has designed a removeable bolt in cage for the subaru, and there is one available for the EVO. It is made by Safety Devices. Have a look at their web site and speak to Mike. I know of several who have the impreza one fitted and have seen it for myself. It is a half cage and will reduce the ability for the roof to collapse in a roll over situation.

Is there a track day cage that is RAC blue book standard that still allows access to rear seats? (mental shopping car! ) My other interest is finding an insurance company that don't hideously load the premium at the word cage...

I saw a track day cage in a car at Ralliart UK that allowed rear access - anyone know who makes it?

I intend to fit one for trackday and sprint / hillclimb use

Also anyone know if there is a difference between IV V and VI shells - i.e. can you fit a cage from one to another?

Co-ordsport had a cage allowing rear seat access a few months ago. They may still have it there. Think it was about £650 |PLS| VAT. Give Kev there a call.

I know HKS make roll cage for Evo,and the bar at the back can take away when you want the back seat back!

I've spoken to Co-ord and they've told me the track day cage has been sold. They couldn't give me a price on a new cage but I've heard figures of £800 which is way too much as far as I'm concerned. It's probably from a company called Custom Cages.
I'm likely to buy a proper FIA approved 6 point bolt in cage from Safety devices and get a local rally firm to modify the rear legs to allow rear seat access.

Any body know how the track day cages mount at the rear - into the parcel shelf, turret top or floor? I'm going to Donnington on the 5th so I will look at whatever cages other people have there. Anybody else going?

Sorry to hear the Co-ord cage has gone. I'll be over for the Donny trackday also, so will be looking to see what cages are in use there. Maybe c u there - mine's a Guernsey reg silver 6.

Ralli///Art in Germany were not able to tell me what kind of cage they can built in a 6. Each time an other person told me a different story.
Finally I found a guy(herrmann motorsport) in the south of Germany who does all the cages for the test-cars of Mercedes. He did a great job. Nice finished cage for a reasonable price (950.-Euro) all inclusive.
You can customise your cage exactly the way you want it.
