hi all the continuing saga of my clutch,
the garage replaced my burnt out clutch but struggled to get gears.
gearbox back out found cover plate to misaligned (factory fault)
fitted new cover plate clutch getting kick back and rattling thrust bearing at low power both clear when the peddle is depressed.
my garage say it is what happens when you fit an uprated clutch.
spoke to the manufacturer, who said absolute bullsh*t.
back to the garage they are now going to send the plate and cover back for inspection
my question to you is it possible for the g/box input shaft to be bent slightly poss by 2/3 thou of an inch during the short distance the car was driven with the defective clutch cover, and if so would this give me the symptons i am experiencing at the mo
any advice is appreciated
