Johnny,

why dont you go for the ecutek remap of the standard ecu, is mapped for the car rather than anycar, gives a much better responce than the RA ecu, and if you talk to WRC tech at silverstone, might do a deal.

Steve

PS, i know its better than the RA because Ive had both.

Agreee the ECU-T is prob better due a specific map and all cars being unique and all that.

But the RA is considerably cheaper and u can regain ur outlay by remeving it when u sell ur car. ;) :D

Interesting... thanks for the replies gents. I am looking for a 'realiable' amount of power, around 350 (Is that reliable?!?), because I use it as an everyday car. Is the ecutek remap overkill for that kinda power? What sorta costs are invloved?

Toby,

The RA is considerably cheaper if you can get one, I paid £550 for it new, where the ecutek remap of the standard was £599 as a group buy.

OK thats finished now so you will have to pay full price but the difference in drivabilty is so much better with the ecutek.

All right, I agree you have nothing to sell at the end of the day but I think the ecutek is enough for nearly 400bhp, with other engine mods, enough for your every day car!

Your not going to get 400bhp without a lot of other engine mods. And is a bit too much for everyday IMO. The Ecutek and Ralliart ECU offer the same sort of power and torque (Ecutek maybe slightly more torque) but the Ecutek wins on the mid range driveability I would image. The Ralliart wins on price you can buy one for £450 run it for a year and sell it for £450.

The boys at WRC reckon my TME, which has only uprated fuel pump, blitz exhaust should run over 370 if i get a cold feed, and even more if the exhaust was 3" min for its length.

Now thats not bad, OK not close to 400 but getting there.

I know what your saying but i didnt want him to think it was an easy 'step up' to 400bhp.

Plenty of Ralliart ECU cars alleged running 370bhp Bex runs 362bhp. Power wise they are going to be the same really, as I say the differences should be felt in the mid range.
