Skim the head or deck the block.

And then put a new headgasket on when you rebuild

Pour jam down the sparkplug hole.

Rev the car to 20,000 rpm and stretch the rods.

Use really crap fuel so the combustion chamber fills with carbon.

blow the turbo and hope bits of the blades weld themselves to the top of the piston.

You could:
1) Alter the size of the combustion chamber.
2) Inform people you are talking about the dynamic compression ratio and then just run more or less boost.
3) Fit different sized rods.
etc.
etc.
etc.

changing true static compression ratio without doing the above or taking engine to bits!. this not mitsubishi specific, although you may see it in the future if mitsubishi adopt this technique for their future engines.
