Hmm, If you have changed the plugs and it runs fine at low boost but not high, coil packs and leads next.

See if you can get a single coil pack and you can swap it one at a time so you know which one is knackered.

Did you make sure the gaps on the new plugs were set right? They are a cooler running spec as well i presume?

Set the gap to .7mm and that should be fine.

It certainly could be a gapping or spec problem, the higher boost stops the spark making the gap. What spec plugs did you put in?
Hotter plugs and a bigger gap would certainly do this.

hi mate i fitted ngk laser iridiums igr7a r they anygood
Yep. They are standard heat range plugs but to be honest, they are new and should not be causing problems at ~1 bar.

Check the gaps (although they should come pre-gapped) and then it is going to be leads and/or coil packs i am afraid.

I have the same problem, if I run the standard ECU it will run up to 1.2+ bar with no fuel cuts.. or holding back.. But if I put my Ralliart Ecu in with the below mods:-

Greddy Boost controller.
Turbo Back Mongoose Exhaust
Apexi Cone filter
Denso Iridium Plugs

It will Boost up to 1 Bar fine but it feels like it is holding back after 1 Bar. (A bit like a fuel cut )

This is with out the fuel pump being fitted....

I believe that I require the fuel pump to be fitted before I can go past 1 Bar. As standard on the car is 0.9 bar. I am therefore waiting to fit the fuel pump before fitting the Ralliart Ecu again....

Weebl do you believe this to be the case...

Hi Weebl

I do not understand why it is holding back after 1 Bar as is "motorboy's".. As with the standard Ecu I can run up to 1.2 bar nearly 1.3 with out any fuel cuts at all..

It feels just like a fuel cut but at 1 bar... with the Ralliart ECU (RA420996R1)

What else could it be then?

Could be a problem with the ECU.

It could also be something as simple as spark plug leads. 'WoodyEvoI' had the exact same problem with his (albeit standard) EI GSR , the car was fine off boost and town driving ect , but when you started to cane it , the car dropped onto 3 cyls untill you backed off the throttle a bit , then all became well again. New leads cured this instantly.

I have just been down to the garage and seen that the Denso plugs i got were the IW22#4's and I believe that to increase the boost I need IW24's...

Would that make the difference when putting in the ralliart ECU as it would be putting in more fuel with the increased boost... and so blowing the plugs out..

Please tell me so as I am now running out of ideas..
