Decision decision , don't know which one now
Ok makes sense. So was it ever making mid 600's on the old turbo despite the problems? If it was then 700bhp still won't feel a lot quicker.Basicaly jacks car had a few issues when he had the 6266 and it wasn't making the power he wanted. After finding the problems. The manifold and downpipe and waste gate were blowing badly. The vaccum pipes too the external wastegate were leaking badly. He also thought the car was too laggy so sold the turbo! He also stripped 4th gear so gearbox has now been replaced. He ideally wants a turbo that can do 700. I personaly think he should of stuck with the turbo he had or go for the ball bearing version as with all the issues sorted the car will be spot on. He just can't make his bloody mind up wot he wants :wallbang:

I think he has gone for the borgwarner turbo now that's if he ever makes his mind upOk makes sense. So was it ever making mid 600's on the old turbo despite the problems? Thank god you are here. I put a load of posts off this thread into Google Translate. I selected English as the target language but all it kept writing as the translation was LOL. I've no idea what that means either :handsup:Yes it did make over 600. Just out of interest why 700 hp ? I have North of 600 in my sprint car and it's mot'ed so I take it out on the road , it's 2l long rod and blown by gt30hta , it's insane on the open road and dangerous tbh , your up to 150 before you know it on track , 500 is a reliable figure and enough to belittle most modern cars , it won't destroy drive lines either and on something like a 71hta stock spool , Ross w had some unreal results sprinting this year in his class b car with 480 ish ! Enough said .Basicaly jacks car had a few issues when he had the 6266 and it wasn't making the power he wanted. After finding the problems. Glad to see my old tubby getting put to good use :smthumbupFinally mapped my car on9180 yesterday. It's awesome. Even at 1.6bar it's very responsive and pulls well at 2.2bar it's unreal, then on race fuel your heading of to the moon:smthumbup
I no exactly 500-600 on a well setup car is more than gd enough. But for some reason jack is just chasing figures.Just out of interest why 700 hp ? Gt30 hta with the right mods will make a shade over 600 bhp , that's nealy maxing out 1000cc injectors . Optimised timing gave 627 hp but was drawn back to a safe limit around 605 hp . That's at 2 bar boost and dry sump may give a little more hp due to less oil drag ( around 15 hp ). Standard head too .North of 600hp on a 30hta ??
Thats a hundred more than mine and i know the LR will achieve more HP than a stroker, but less torque, but that seems alot for that turbo
Take it you have good headwork ?![]()
Pump fuel , race fuel would I guess be up wards of 660 , as said right mods , excellent tuner too ( apt ) , janspeed built engine (2011)to apt spec . You do get what you pay for .What fuel Greenstar? Very good result for 30hta.
