Hi there

I see different rating systems for turbo pressure.
eg They are either 14psi or 0.9bar etc

How do you convert between the both of them ?

Thanks

I have a simple but effective DOS based conversion program (will run under windows) that does it as well as many other types of conversions. I can mail it you if you like.

1.3 bar before the you have to change pistons etc.
Always do the convention things first before uping the boost
Exhaust, airfilter, cams etc.

so that would be around 20psi. I think mine's hitting that sometimes already, though I hardly ever have time to look at the boost guage nowadays!
Sorry if this is a naive question but what is the standard boost?
(evo II here that has had a variety of mods, and possibly some unknown to current owner!)

cheers

Hmm,

Evoboy is right abou 1 bar |EQU| 14.7. So 1.3 bar would be 19.11 although I've hear of some people boost up to as much as 1.4 bar here in the Philippines (probably because its warmer, less cold air).

Evo 4 makes 0.9 bar stock, Evo 5 makes 1.0 bar stock, and Evo 6 makes, about 1.2 bar stock boost levels. I dunno about the earlier Evo's though.

after taking more notice of the gauge I've not seen it go over 15 psi so thats about 1 bar for the evo II.
No need to uprate my internals (yet!)
