After some advice really, unfortunately don’t get on here anywhere near like I use to

I have an evo 6 that hasn’t turned a wheel in a few years now, about 3.

The car has been stored in my garage and I got as far as stripping it down and buying all the parts to do a nut and bolt restore on her, but due to life, work and family commitments I am thinking of a change of plans. I would love to get it done but having young kids one of which is disabled has made me re-evaluate my situation!
It’s and evo 6 gsr, covered less than 80k on the clock, rear legs are all solid, but has gone on drivers footwell, under seal cracked and will need welding
Interior is mint, no wear on seats etc.
Should I break or sell as a whole? And what would it be worth?

I have a complete (rear damaged) spare shell to replace the bad section that is immaculate along with all parts, inc all New bushes, underside nut/bolt kit, ball joins, trim seals, brake rebuild kit etc.

I have no idea what it’s worth!! Or should I break it? Or put it into a specialist to get complete? Although I want it done, I know In my heart of hearts I won’t get to use it!!

I also have an evo 8 260 gsr, uk car that I’m thinking of parting with, car is standard except for a full turbo back exhaust, and hose kit but has a few marks onbody work but is solid, has under 50k on clock clean mot, amy ideas of worth? Prices seem mad at the moment but want a realistic figure

thanks in advance

Adam post up some pictures of the good and bad bits someone might take it completely so they can finish of the rebuild or you can strip and sell right down to the shell buddy not entirely sure on price range hard to put a figure on something you cherish buddy most people would being interested in parts

You’d probably get more breaking the 6 IMO. A lot of idiots seem to think their cars are worth 3 or 4 times what they are really worth and are advertising them at stupid over inflated prices hence why we keep seeing the same cars for sale by mainly the same sellers for the last few years and they can’t sell them as most sensible people who know these cars are not going to pay their over inflated unrealistic asking prices and they get stuck with them.

Really interesting read, I've just made a similar post about my own situation, what a dilemma!
If I was you I'd keep it, chip away at the project and even if you don't use it much it could be a deposit on the childrens houses in years to come!

So mine is in a very bad way, worse than expected.
I personally think you should carry on with yours - but if you don't it looks like I'm in the market for a workable project or the other shell.

Just to update this, the evo 6 and shell have now been sold along with parts to a good home where hopefully she will/is getting the resto time and effort deserved!

still have the 8, which is going in for a service and once over when I get chance and will then be for sale.
