Do politicians pay income tax?


Years ago I was under the impression that they didn't but people told me I was wrong.
Recently I've seen it said on a couple of websites that they don't
Haven't been able to a conclusive answer on 'tinternet.

Do know Blair earns £178K PA though, that's not much is it?
I wouldn't do his job for that much, the wage and the fact that you have to be a complete ****** to do that job.... or is that just coincidence that they're all like that

And .... since I'm asking .... why don't I get a full plethora of parties to chose from in my postal vote? Only got 5 to chose from

That's just his base salary (thought it was less than that TBH). The perks etc he gets probably tripples it. Why do you think he is so keen to get us into Europe? So he can get on that gravytrain when he retires as PM cos that is where the big bucks are. (read massive fraud).
