turn the water off at the hot water tank. If you don't have a gate valve to turn it off or have a combi boiler (no hot water tank) turn the mains cold water off and it will stop (if its a hot water tank it may take 15min). Then wait for a plumber or go buy a new tap and have a bash yourself
