play in steering

hi what would cause excessive play in steering?, car was aligned few wks ago, don't think it was like that before...could something of worked its way loose?, wheel is sittin a gid bit off centre which is pretty annoyin!

Excessive play can be caused by a lot of things, best bet is to actually jack the car up and inspect it, as you will probably get every suggestion.

yeah cheers, think I'll have to nip it back through to the garage for a check, might have a look today if I get time, could do with greasing the pads anyway as there squellin like a banshee!

Think you will find no amount of gease will stop the squealing unless you are using OEM Brembo pads.

Dunno they have been fine for ages, got them from stevov, his old XP8s maybe gave an od squeel but now they are ear piercing! and constant
