Try Bells Mitsubishi in Earls Barton, Northamptonshire, between Northampton & Wellingborough. Ask for Mark and say Phil from Kilby Fox referred you.

I'll be booking mine in their in a couple of weeks so would be interested to know the outcome.

Yep - I was quoted between £450 and £591 for a 36k service.

Mods - how about a sticky thread somewhere to log our servicing best buys?!

Just picked my car up from Corby.
18K service £400.

"All include free courtesy car, service wash and air fresh.
We also provide free diagnostic reports to all Evo customers".

All above was done.

Oh yeh....The price did include £10 optional insurance on the courtesy car to save the £500 excess if you do have a prang.

I'm happy with them.

Why use a dealer?

Why not get a quote from Steve Hill, as they are quite close to you if you are in Beds?

Or any of the other independent specialists?

Since the law was changed about servicing not having to be carried by a dealer for warranty purposes, I can't see the advantage in using them!

Most solicitors charge less than dealers these days!

I thought we had covered this and that the view was that the EU directive doesn't apply to the 3 year warranty but only to the 1st year. I think this is because the additional warranty isn't a manufacturers warranty but an extra supplied by the importer.

There was a poll done a while back asking "would you use a Mitsi dealer for servicing once out of warranty" and the answer was 80% said no.

There may be some dealers where they do have talented Evo technicians but on the whole try to find an independent specialist.

My local Mitsi dealer (SGT) are rubbish, they fitted a Walbro fuel pump then forgot to reconnect my exhaust!!! And when they did it was fouling the crossmember!!!
