Ive seen an evo 4 with 125000 on the clock with a slipping clutch and a knock from like a suspension bush. Its clean inside and out.
Noted to have been serviced every 4000. Had few bits done to it.

Whats your views

Yes plus the 4 engines are suspect to ring land failure around 1.3/1.4 bar , where as you can run a E5/6 comfortably @1.5 bar 350/360 bhp and it will be reliable .

I do like the gsr. Thanks for your help and advise. Is there any evo clubs in or around basingstoke do u know

Ivest in the membership, worth every penny. And dont buy a 4 unless it has a newer engine. I did as im stubborn and prefer the shape, now having a 7 engine supplied fitted and mapped by c-tec at a cost of 3k. Very good price, but not ideal. But it was cheap, and the alarm bells didn't ring until it was too late.

I like the 5 gsr body.. I have heard engine are poor. Im not going do alot of upgrading and on it, well to start with anyway. What is included in the membership then?

I've got a 4 with standard engine ..
Had it 3 years
Good engines if you don't up the boost much and service well ...

Mines got a genuine 60,000 miles and has an oil and filter every 2000 miles

I suppose some are lucky to get a strong engine and that hasn't been abused with out being looked after
