hi guys,

I occassionally see cars behind me with one headlight which looks like its on full beam, while the other seems normal.

does anyone know what causes this?

cheers,
Matt

It is caused by the scourge of speed cameras.

Traffic police have declined in number by at least 11% UK-wide over the past 10 years.

Therefore, our roads are not being policed effectively and obvious technical infringements like this are not being "picked up". How many cars have you passed in the past week with only 1 headlight? Dull bastad drivers not checking them regularly and then not giving a toss even when they notice a blown bulb really gets my goat.

And don't even get me started on the blinding light that is the SUV trying to climb onto your back bumper in the traffic light queue.
