Simon,
I`m a newbie...Not picking the car up till next week but I`m looking to get everything right.....I currently run fully synthetic Motul oil in my bike ( which is extremely modified engine-wise ) and in my current car ( A Hyundai F2 ...which isn`t )...I`ve been toying with the idea of a teflon additive for the bike as it runs at higher than normal temps.....I`m wondering if you have any opinion on them..i.e. to use or not to use
Cheers
Del

consensus of opionion is that they are not good for longevity as they tend to collect in small oil ways etc but may reduce friction a bit and therefore give more power through reduced losses.

i used some slick50 on my tme and i dont think it made much difference. i wouldn't do it again though as the tappets tend to get gummed up anyway let alone when the engine is swimming in ptfe particles.
