even after replacing the worn clutch cover, disc and bearing with a brand new set (OEM), or is this normal on EVO4?! or perhaps i'm expecting too much?! btw, should i let the new clutch bed-in first before revving it to the max?! if not, will it costs any harm and what should i do next?! pls advice asap, thanks.

What sort of power are we talking about? ,acceleration power !
Your new clutch should have a little bedding in ,but if all alligned properly all should be well.Hope your not running 450 BHP with standard clutch?
Had mine replaced last year with a standard clutch again and still spins my EVO4 forward at a rate of knots with out smelling.[smelt slightly before bedded in]
Pop back to the mechanics who fitted it and ask them to have a look at it for you .Alternatively
Accelerate heavily from 1 st to 2nd gear then rev 6500rpm and change to 5TH if still no power and the car revs freely with out a sluggish grunting ,then definately take it back.
