Hi guys.

The names Graeme, i live in north devon near bideford/bude way.

i've just bought an evo 8 fq300. it needs alittle work doing tho. but hopefully that will be easily sorted now i'm a member on here.

i can't wait to get to know people and go to afew shows/meets etc. will be fun.

here are afew pictures of the car. please go easy on it. its going to get sorted. i've given it a quick clean. this car had been sat around for about 2 years. so was abit green.

the car needs a good polish, fresh underseal, brakes all round, mot/tax, the boot needs sorting due to rot :blah:

also i have an idle problem. which i will discuss in the right section of the forum.

 hello and welcome

I wont take long to sort :D guess with the spoiler and rot it will be easier to get a boot from another black evo?
how come (if you dont mind me asking) it has been sat around for so long?

you will be giving it a new lease of life :D

My friend who had the car was involved in a major accident and unable to drive due to it. the evo was then sat for awhile. by time he recovered from the accident it was out of tax and mot. also the idle problem started. he had a subaru sat in the garden and decided to use that as a run around. thats when i came into the picture and now hopefully i will get it up and running in no time.

i tryed to get a boot for it and they go for lots of money second hand. like 250 pounds. so as i do bodywork and i'm a fabricator, i thought about cutting the rot out and replacing it with new metal. but i have no idea what to do with the spoiler yet

Hello Gray....Ham!! :la: Splash the cash and carbon it up (Boot, roof, bonnet etc) lol

I'm at Brands all weekend so we'll sort a date next week n i'll cum round. Just used a standard satin black spray 4the headlights, though be warned...its a time consuming job! I've heard of a couple who have dun the rears but not as easy. You can buy MR,IX or U.S rear lights to up-grade to your taste.

Good that your now into Evo ownership (Not 4ur wallet mind!) Its great on here for info and a good banter. Also u can source bits and pieces new and 2nd hand.

:smthumbup
BTW - You can get your carbon spoiler blade re-laquered at any desent bodyshop :D

Car looks like a nice project, and I'm sure will be back to it's former glory with a bit of TLC.
