HKS have just released a stainless exhaust manifold for the evo4/5/6
which apparantly gives a *VERY* impressive performance gain.

It's so new a price hasn't even been announced yet, but I can
get my hands on the first few in the UK by Wednesday.

Would make a very sexy Xmas prezzy from the wife http://www.lancerregister.com/graphics/Wilk.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| middle >

It would give Blade a power gain as his car is highly modified, but for your average Evo it is just cosmetic ,

I would be interested to know more, but as you are aware we are all trying to fight our addiction and you are not helping by offering us these tempting products, please close your business and join the church that would be more Christian and helpfull to us all.:)

Barry,

It is too late. I am clearly possessed by the Satanic Tuning Demon (STD - Yikes!)

The abundance of black inside my car is no accident! It is a shrine, a temple to the great demonic one. All the mitsubishi logos are hung upside down, and if you look underneath the carbon flooring you will find a pentagram etched on the body work!

All I need now to satisfy my lord is to achieve the number of the beast. .... 666bhp anyone???

You guys crack me up !!!!!!!!!

I should have said, the stainless fanimould,
I mean manifold is for stock turbos. It was built by HKS to replace
the f11ck ugly stock manifold, not expecting impressive power gains,
they were, um , a bit surprised to get good power gains....

Am I getting one ? Errr, after the AP brakes, ECU, HKS front pipe
and cams.....ROFL......praise the Lord for credit cards....

Lord Wazzup, I thank you for your kind words.

But - I have no need for extra money - my allegiance with the dark lord will bring unto me riches beyond the imagination of mere mortal EVO owners. Some think that my powers have peaked, yet the final infusion of the ancient forces is about to be unleashed.

There are only days left until the rebirth. The very heart of the beast is to be torn from it's cadaver and replaced with one forged in the depths of Hades. Already the seeds are being sown and I have given up every essence of my soul in return for the power of 500 demons.

Nothing will stand in my path - the knights of Ferrari and peasants of Porsche will be decimated by the hell-fire I shall bring upon them.

There is no hope for me - my cursed fate has bean sealed. A life of obsession that will lead to damnation. I ask you to pray for my soul...

Its funny you mention about the HKS manifold as DP Motorsport have just introduced a new stainless steel one for the E4-7. It looks good with equal length pipes and a matched cross section to the exhaust ports. Also does away with the secondary air control pipework....sorry emission control crap ;)
Could be the DP and HKS manifolds are one and the same?
Have a look page 21 of Japanese Performance for more details (reads like it is DP developed product as there is no mention of HKS).

yellow, any figures for this? I can't see a manifold making much of a difference to flow. Modern manifolds are not as bad as they used to be. I know its important to direct the flow of gases into the turbo with a nice smooth curve but the stock item doesn't look too bad in this respect. What a polished manifold will do is reduce amount of heat radiated from the manifold that will heat up the engine bay and reduce power through heating of the inlet charge. Of course this effect would show up much more on a rolling road than on the real road. I bet the tests that HKS did were on a rolling road.

A cheaper alternative would be some thermal bandage around the manifold/turbo. Would mean you'd have to more careful not to cook the turbo of course.

Yellow,

do you think it would be outrageous of me to buy it only for 2 months while I wait for the new turbo :D

How much hp then on my 380|PLS|bhp engine??

Blade,

Yes, it would be plain daft http://www.lancerregister.com/graphics/embarassed1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >

If you are in the mood for being daft though,
you wont have any trouble selling it second hand....ROFL.

How much HP on your 380engine.....I dunno, gotta be taking you
to the 400's (sounds nice doesnt it....400)
