Hello all,

I recently bought lancer 2002 LS.
I need some advice on upgrading my lancer without sacrificing the fuel efficiency or if you can improve the fuel efficiency that would be even better.
Right now what i'm thinking of installing is new spark plugs(i'm sure the previous owner never changed the spark plugs), and air filter.
Please give me any advice regarding the spark plugs and air filter (what model, manufacturer, cost, etc).

If you have any info regarding improfing the fuel efficiency, that will help me a lot (I drove 60miles/day to work :( )
Thanks

Hi

Personally there isn't much, if anything, you can do to improve your milage by changing bits on the car, except perhaps tires. Changing your driving style (can make a huge impact) or buying a more fuel-efficient car is the only way's you'll see any meaningful reduction in your expenditure.

You might be better asking over at http://www.evolutionm.net/ though, this site caters mainly for UK & ROW Evo owners so knowledge about the US models is limited.

p.s. Don't feel too bad about your gas milage, I used to drive 100 miles a day in an Evo that got about 22mpg and the fuel here costs the equivalent of about $5.50 per US gallon!
