Hi guys

Picked up my new Evo from Capt.Mike yesterday and loving it so far!

Firstly I'll show you my previous car - A Corsa C with a bit of a twist...

Started off as a standard 1.8 SRi and ended up with a 420bhp Astra VXR engine with a GT3076

Won't bore you with lots of pics but here's what it was like

Respray (originally black):

Total Vauxhall photoshoot:

Engine (fully forged etc)

Anyway onto the Evo :D

Just as I was about to drive off from Mike's house

We then went out and did some night time photography :)

Back home for its first wash

and a few more random ones :)

Plans are:

- New wheels, probably Rota Grid Drifts in 9.5J
- Re-paint bonnet and front bumper due to stone chips
- Some carbon goodness
- Enjoy it :)

Would like to say a special thanks to Mike for being so helpful throughout the process of buying it and to his neighbour Ray for taking time to be there when I picked it up due to Mike being away :)

Yeah the turbo needs 2 bar to come alive :naughty:

Few more pics

Odyssey race battery, Nortech billet battery tray/clamp and Tial BOV Q

V band billet collector specific to the garrett housing (much bigger throat than the Tial)

Tial MVR 44mm external wastegate with screamer pipe

Nortech intercooler/hard pipes with Garrett core capable of 700+ bhp

Anyone interested in an amazing turbo kit from arguably the best then feel free to PM me and I'll point you in the right direction :smthumbup

Got to go out in this on Tuesday and it sounds awesomeee!

So jealous. Nortech have done a great job, as soon as I can insure a turbo upgrade I'm doing it!

Now hurry up and get it forged Matt and whack that boost up!! :naughty:

i think your risking it (alot). what is the torque? and how early? any setup to soften torque spike?

Like I said earlier in the thread, only running 1 bar boost

boost is irelevant if its too much torque too early snap. yours looks ok though.:smthumbup
bet you cant wait for rods
Garry has mapped it nice and safe for now by the looks if things. Keeps it nice and driveable but once you get the internals done and injectors/fuel pump etc done then it'll be fun winding up the boost a tad ;)
that's how mine sat on comps good wheel choice preferred them to my 9.5 grids
Looks lovely Jamie

Cheers Ross

what rating is the clutch? Hope you're getting those rods done soon Matt. Let me know when it's time to sell it. I'll probably buy it back off you. :)

It'll be a lot slower than you're used to that's for sure  for that reason I don't think you'll not be able to map it etc
