Hi guys

Picked up my new Evo from Capt.Mike yesterday and loving it so far!

Firstly I'll show you my previous car - A Corsa C with a bit of a twist...

Started off as a standard 1.8 SRi and ended up with a 420bhp Astra VXR engine with a GT3076

Won't bore you with lots of pics but here's what it was like

Respray (originally black):

Total Vauxhall photoshoot:

Engine (fully forged etc)

Anyway onto the Evo :D

Just as I was about to drive off from Mike's house

We then went out and did some night time photography :)

Back home for its first wash

and a few more random ones :)

Plans are:

- New wheels, probably Rota Grid Drifts in 9.5J
- Re-paint bonnet and front bumper due to stone chips
- Some carbon goodness
- Enjoy it :)

Would like to say a special thanks to Mike for being so helpful throughout the process of buying it and to his neighbour Ray for taking time to be there when I picked it up due to Mike being away :)

So my car's been away for 2 weeks now having a turbo kit developed, here's a sneak preview before I go and pick it up tomorrow after it's been mapped on low boost.

- Owen Developments GT3076HTA-M Turbo with the new Garrett V band .63 exhaust housing
- Tial MVR 44mm external wastegate
- Tial BOV Q

It's also having a full intercooler kit using a Garrett core

And an Odyssey race battery kit

Can't wait to see it complete :D

:O Very nice! I'm jealous - If I could go back in time I would get a white IX GT :)
Very nice, but a word of advice! Forged!! That engine is standard internals so you need it forged before you can use that turbo to its full potential.

Yeah I know :)

I'm sure GR will keep it safe :smthumbup
Right, that's it! I have to get mine forged and a bigger turbo kit.

I don't see that I have a choice here... :mhihi: :naughty:

Look forward to seeing this soon mate :smthumbup
and I wish you hadnt gone for a TIAL Bov on it. I've tried that and it doesnt work. A bigger turbo with slower spool may help. ?? Interesting to see if you lose drivability at partial throttle. It was dire when I had one fitted.

It's the way forward ;)

Might pop over tomorrow if it's not too late :smthumbup

Yeah remember you saying and was in the back of my mind but I'll see what it's like.

Don't want a bigger turbo lol! This will do 550bhp with ease and im hoping the HTA spec will keep spool reasonably good.
Quick spool was my issue I think. But get it forged before you do anything silly!
Car is absolutely stunning looking, credit to you.! Do you still have the Compomotive MO6's if so would you sell them.?
Looking good mate
I'm jealous now lol
GT3076HTA turbos are the nuts

Also the Tial bov's are designed for these bigger turbos kits and external wastegates, it should be fine, most of the time attack evo's run them, I remember asking RG about the Tial a while back and he said I needed a full turbo kit and something else that I can't remember for it to run properly

Are u staying forged 2.0 or going stroker 2.3?

Will do :)

Thanks mate, no I sold them a while ago sorry :(

Yeah hopefully I don't have any problems with it, I'll find out later anyway lol. On the train now to go pick it up.

I'm gonna go for a 2.0 long rod I think with some kelford 272 cams. That's a while off yet anyway haha
I look forward to seeing it when done
Maybe I'll c ya at a show or meet when it gets a bit warmer

Ive been in a 6 running 2.3, GT3076HTA with a tial wastegate and bov,
They definitely move well and sound amazing, u will have fun with 550+hp lol
So come on then, how did you get on?
Matt is on his long drive home but I'm sure will be on here soon to give you all the full details...one serious piece of machine this is turning into...

And captain...if you regret selling the car I suggest you ban yourself from this thread..otherwise it may be just too painfull:cry:

nah, its just another evo. Just nice to see someone looking after it and turning it into what looks like might be a mega-car. Matt got a great base to work from if he's going to mod. I'm sure he'll sell it back to me one day.

Well it made 420bhp at just 1 bar of boost! Injectors are maxed out now otherwise they coulda gone further. Goes well though, very very strong top end and it's just relentless until the red line.

I'll scan the graphs in tomorrow.

I only got one pic today, stole the other two from Nortech's facebook page.

Would like to say thanks to GR Performance for the mapping and Alan (Ruddy), James and the rest of the team at Nortech, it's awesome :)
