I stopped at in some traffic the other day and noticed that the speedo was reading above 0 mph and the trip meter carried on clocking and I was still stationary.

Anyone else noticed the same?

I have a limited mileage policy and therefore I am careful to keep the miles down and this does not help.

Sometimes my speedo needle goes AWOL and spasmodically leaps 30-40 mph before settling down again. Seems to be a common(ish) fault as Scott's had the same too (down to mph conversion computer perhaps?). Could be yours is just another version though I'd get it looked at as you might unwittingly be putting several hundred miles on your car each time you use it!

Not quite that bad. I seem to be getting the right sort of mpg for an EVO 4 and I do not sit in traffic very often but it just seems rather odd that this should happen.

I've seen the speedo needle drop about 15 mph and instantly return on several Evo's now, usually whilst cruising on M-ways etc. I've changed the speedo convertor and still see the fault.
