Hello!

I am thinking of buying either the mongoose full system from turbo and back or a magnex full system including downpipe and decat. I guess that the mongoose contains these things too....
So which should i buy. I want lots of power gain and it is a plus if isnt too noisy. Fitting is also an important factor.

Magnex system is worth it.
I have a magnex full catback system, have had no problems with it, and found when I first had it, I noticed increased acceleration in the upper gears. Plus lots of flames and great sound too
Definately a good quality value stainless Exhaust.

I dont think there is much in it cost or performance wise between the Mongoose and amp; Magnex. Lots of people on here have went down the Magnex route, including myself, and cant fault it one bit.

Magnex

Fitment: Very easy to fit, lines up very well.
Sound: Good rumble on tickover, not too obtrusive around town or on motorways. Give it some stick though and it gives a fantastic howl
Performance: If you fit the whole exhaust, downpipe-decat-system, you will see a definite improvement in pickup due to the decreased turbo spoolup time. The car also pulls much better in the mid range and top end.

You wont be dissapointed

Like you I was also considering either a Mongoose or Magnex.
In the end after speaking to my mechanic, and being messed around something rotten by Magnex I went and got the Scorpion full system from www.motech.uk.com
I'm really pleased with the sound and performance of it.

chris, is the noise intrusive on the Motorway? I've had Scorpion before and found them noisy for long distance. Good quality/value otherwise.

I dont find the noise too much, but what I find ok, someome else might not ?

I went the Mongoose route - easy to fit and not too loud.

Get a HKS u wont regret it ! go cat back with a mongoose down pipe and de'cat they are alot cheaper than the hks items but sometimes have had to do a bit of adjustment to the mongoose down pipes. If any one's interested i have a HKS cat back hyper m system 4 sale no dents or scuff's $250 |PLS|p and amp;p

Go for Magnex! I'm very happy with mine..... Seriously, I'm sure there's hardly any difference at all between the Magnex and Mongoose systems with price, power, build quality and sound, although I've never seen or heard a Mongoose..... If you've not had any of these before then I think it's just a case of 'take your pick' like I did..... With both of them around £500 for the full system inc DP and de-cat they are both excellent VFM!
