Hello

Is it possible that the maf sensor from my evo 8 is damaged?

When the car is cold it runs completly normal and when it is warm the car
missfires on boost.
Now i checked the ecu and i have the trouble code P0105 MAP Circuit Malfunction.

Regards Reinhard

Yes it can be damaged. You can see more reasons for missfire, but damaged Maf is one of them. Simply try another maf from some of your evo Friends, and if it does not help, first another thing to check will be fuel pump and current on it. Or you can go more scientificly and install and WideBand lambda and meassure your AFR at WOT.

Is it a JDM, EDM or USDM car? JDM VIII's don't have MAP sensors.
What are you using for the fault code reading?

Go to the aktivematrix website and download Scantech, it will give you a better description of the error code. Does it actually have a MAP or MDP sensor on the inlet manifold? If you take a pic and post it, I can tell you.

Barometric, temp and flow are part of the MAF output, but the error you posted is not a MAF error.
Check the fault code either with Scantech as suggested, or manually flash the code by earthing out pin 1 on the OBD port.

I have now compared the air temperature and the throttle position.
When i give full throttle the air temp goes down to -150degrees.
