Have spent the last 5 months creating a new underfloor and venturi for my Evo 5 Hillclimber. Finally it's now mostly finished and just needs some paint although it looks not too bad in black gel!

Front & rear bumpers are held on with 2 'R' clips and slide off complete with the relevant floor sections. The sills (side pods) are designed to stay on the car but are easily removed if needed and the centre section is an aluminuim composite which slides into the side pods from either the front or rear. The side pods have wooden blocks moulded in place to allow lifting the car on a 2 post ramp.

I made this from scratch and created the initial shapes which I then used to make moulds. The parts you see are fibreglass with foam sandwich for strength. This replaces the standard bumpers and weighs in at 32Kg complete but according to our calculations should give a good amount of free downforce starting mid-car as the venturi actually starts at the front bumper. There's over 600 hours work in this to create the shapes, moulds and produce the final parts. I can produce any part of this if any of it gets damaged - no doubt most of it won't last very long:D:D:crackup:

Still much to do - exhaust, some engine/Gearbox work etc.

I don't often summon the effort to post on here (fine forum though it is) but a link was sent to me by a friend and I had to type a response.

That, Sir, is quite something. I genuinely don't remember seeing an Evo that brings together the looks and purpose quite so well.

I shall be urging the aforementioned friend (Gary at APT :D ) to do similar with his 7.

I'll keep an eye on this thread with interest. Superb stuff
