Bloody Facebook wars lol... there is good and bad about social media and sometimes the bad far outweighs the good, but it's the same for forums from what I've experienced :blah:
Good work Donald.
Bloody Facebook wars lol... there is good and bad about social media and sometimes the bad far outweighs the good, but it's the same for forums from what I've experienced :blah:Yup I totally agree. Had someone slagging me off on Facebook yesterday for a problem caused elsewhere. The reason why is obvious and fundamental. There are some right to55 pots about these days doesn't matter where you turn!!
:shake:Much better to be up front, social media last resort I guess, much better to be 100% honest though, too many things are swept under the carpet in this game,
I could do that yes, but it would mean making a new rear wing buck then a mould again and to be honest - there's enough downforce at that end of the car from the wing and venturi as it is so why go to all that extra work?can't you just mount the wing on the quarter panels at each side of the boot? you can keep the same sillouhette and have a wider wing.
because you are saying its a lot of work to make the boot strong enough.I could do that yes, but it would mean making a new rear wing buck then a mould again and to be honest - there's enough downforce at that end of the car from the wing and venturi as it is so why go to all that extra work?
It's much, much less work to make the boot strong enough to take the wing I have though. All it takes is a few extra layers in key areas but deciding how much and not go overboard is the tricky bitbecause you are saying its a lot of work to make the boot strong enough.
ok. I just also think its better to have it mounted on something a bit more solidIt's much, much less work to make the boot strong enough to take the wing I have though. All it takes is a few extra layers in key areas but deciding how much and not go overboard is the tricky bit
It will be rigid enough for the jobok. I just also think its better to have it mounted on something a bit more solid![]()
Then he wouldn't be able to open the boot lid to get his shopping in! :rotz::lol:can't you just mount the wing on the quarter panels at each side of the boot? you can keep the same sillouhette and have a wider wing.
you just lift it up and forwards like I do on mineThen he wouldn't be able to open the boot lid to get his shopping in! :rotz::lol:
I still have hinges on my boot....you just lift it up and forwards like I do on mine![]()
4kgs. Take em off. :blah:I still have hinges on my boot....
Really? Never had them out to weigh them. The spring bars need to go this year as the boot will be far too light. The varis bootlid is light anyway and bounces off the stops hard. Technically the hinges and springs are part of the bodyshell - and in between the wheelbase so removal could be against the rules for MSA ModProd Division. It depends how the rule is interpreted.4kgs. Take em off. :blah:

I came to the same conclusion Donald, There only just forwards of the rear shocks..Really? Never had them out to weigh them. The spring bars need to go this year as the boot will be far too light. Are they part of the 'unitary structure' though? In the spirit of the rule they should be ok to come out. It would take someone's £200 to hit the table to find out for sure. I would argue that they aren't part of the structure. :angel:I came to the same conclusion Donald, There only just forwards of the rear shocks..
With the blue book I think it can get far to anal and end up with half of the attendees being sent home if arguments start. :blah:Are they part of the 'unitary structure' though?
