I have had the car 2 month and ive had enough. I bought it with 200 miles on it as a ex demo. As soon as i got home it started stalling so went back to:mitsi:the day . They looked at it on the computer and couldnt find the prob but it was stalling for them. It was booked back in and they had it for 2 weeks and put a new gearbox in, at the same time i asked for supgaurd to be applied. Went to pick up and they had scratched the front bumper and the supagaurd was VERY badly done so it was booked back in for a weeks time to sort out. This paint was sorted but the wax again was done badly :wallbang:.
I took the car down today to a rolling road to see what the fueling was up to and the bhp. The car has had a cat back and air filter so was thinking it would be around 315-320 but no it was 274 and running very rich. Just spoke to the dealer { who must be right pXXXd of with me by now}and will look into it. This car has spent more time un the garage than i have had it.
Does any body no what:mitsi:might do about the lack of power.
Sorry to rant

Hope they get it all sorted out for you, I'd be annoyed as well if I were you. Will all be worth it when it's finally running properly, wouldn't expect it though for an almost new car.
Might be worth a nice e mail to mitz uk veiwing your concerns

I know when i had a problem with my escort cossie i had been back to dealer again and again was told to send a letter to fords main office. A week later i had a hire car the cossie was picked up and sorted out plus i got a bit of compo

Its worth a try as they dont need the bad press such a problem can cause ?

Good luck thou keep us all posted
Sorry to hear this, dealers are truly Tommy tank :( not heard of power figures that low, sounds like you have a problem, either an air/vac leak or maf failure.....which I've just had!!!! Lets hope it's nothing more sinister like turning the boost down to cover up slipping clutch plates on the sst! Take it to a decent specialist, you'll get proper service from people who actually know what they're doing, persevere though, you'll love it in the end and when you get your lost power back it'll feel like a different car :)
Or if they don't sort it out 100% this time simply demand a refund and buy another
Was thinking of backing the car if they dont get it sorted soon.
I dont want to lose my warranty and get it mapped so i have to hope the garage can sort it.
Yer no good bud,Send it back and start again. Are you ever going to be happy with that car now!
Taking mine back on Saturday for them to have a look at, keeps jumping/slipping out of 3rd gear....... Hope we both get a good outcome!

Sounds very similar to this thread HERE ;) :D
Whilst under warranty let THEM fix it. Once you touch that ECU they will be laughing their asses off.
defo only letting:mitsi: play with the ecu.
Good luck,i bet you will have to have a new gear box.
See thread in gearboxes for more info!
Hi mate, sorry to hear about this and hope you get this sorted asap
can you not take it to another mitsy dealer that might know what they are doing, not all are the same, K&R mitsubishi in Taunton haven't a clue, cost me money on my evo due to lack of knowledge and very poor workmanship, i'd look elsewhere if i was you, do you have another dealer not too far away?? be worth a try:smthumbup
Don't want to hijack Matt's thread so I've put up a new one! Yeh, may try Weston, anyone had any dealings with them?
Just a update.
:mitsi: are saying that the car has had the uk map and i think they dont believe my power run result so they have told me the car has to go to ecuteck in uxbridge. If there is less than 300bhp they will pay for it to be sorted but if it is running 300 i will have to pay. Thats another day of work :smthumbdo.
I did a 0-62 test today with a stopwatch and i got 6.1 and 5.9.
:mitsi: also said that all evos go there and get dynod from new. Is that true ? Not once have they asked to look at the car to se if there is any issues causing the lack of power.
Rant over
Should have stuck with the R32 Matty :smthumbup
