Just been thinking about getting my seats retrimed in red and black leather to suit the original TME seat colours with the Recaro and Tommi logos still embossed into the leather and getting the doors done in black leather also.

I have a local company which will do this for me for £1500, which I think is not bad at all.

What are your thoughts on this?

Would this suit the car or make it look a bit too chav like?

Sorry m8 I dont think that would look good :blah: In fact I have yet to see a red and black leather retrim in any car that looks really good.

Plus dont think it would add any money to your car would probably detract slightly from it. If you were going for it I would keep your seats and trim up some std GSR ones

Thats ok Matt, I didnt think it would any value onto the car and the idea of getting a spare set of seats also crossed my mind, just a idea at the moment will probably end up spending the money on something else yet.

I used http://www.car-interior.co.uk in Warrington to retrim my minging Evo VIII seats.
I had black leather with blue stitching with blue carbon fibre effect leather on the seat facings and door cards.They also retrimmed the centre console.
They will do any logo,I just opted for 'Recaro'.
They did a top job and it has totally transformed the interior.
It cost £1163.25(incl VAT) in Dec 03 and came with a 2 year warranty

doh , Ive done that b4 ! Ive got a MR trim set and want it ftting but will need the door cards doing aswell. Ive been looking for a reconmended fitters for a while

They are great and really light you can choose the same colour as the rears.

they even do made to measure seats like Gaz's

I can recommend an exceptional quality trimmer in the south, but thats probably a bit too far.

Kelenco Automotive Interiors have done interiors for friends (total custom stuff, alcantara everything!) and the quality and service is second to none.

IMO, stay away from black and red leather, it will look like a brothel! :crackup:

Black and red alcantara would be rather nice though!
