I am interested in finding out the technicality’s of launch control systems. If possible can someone enlighten me as to the workings of the system and quantify the traction advantages.
I have seen these systems work in an awesome display of sheer acceleration on WRC cars.

Try PMing 'Evo Too'. He's been looking into it for his mental VI.

It seems a MoTeC is capable of managing it partly using ABS sensors (I think). But, you also need some kind of very accuarate measurement of actual speed (IIRC...) and that is the main stumbling block (IIRC again )

I have LC on my car with the MoTeC M48 Pro ECU - unless your producing stupid amounts of bhp (500+) you dont need it on tarmac, on gravel its a completely different situation of course!

I have autronic ecu with launch control, which type of rev limiter do you guys use?

Hard cut or soft cut? (Cut all at once or cut gradually?) And do you only cut the ignition or both ign and fuel?
