While fiddling with my pitman arm i noticed some writting on my front struts.Found they are KYB struts.I have never replaced them and im pretty sure the previose owners havnt.Are they standard for a 1200EX in nz?Just wondering if anyone else has come across that they have KYB front struts.

Also has anyone fitted a fixed fan instead of the viscous one?My viscous one has leaked oil everywhere and is stuffed.Is it worth replacing or just getting an electric one ?

the stock 1600 fan won't fit, different PCD on the flange. don't know if anything else will.

i'd go electric, i'm definitly going to when i've got the spare time to put it in.

wouldn't have a clue about the front strut inserts, if you've got a part number i'd be interested, i've had blank looks from a couple of places recently while looking for replacements (stock or shortened, need some about 2-3 inches shorter if anybody knows of anything that will do the job).

its not the insert its who whole strut.Has KYB pressed into it.Has some numbers too but cant remember what they are right now

Ive had funny looks also when asking bout inserts and stuff
been able to find stuck replacment ones but cant remember the make lol
