IVE JUST HAD SOME OF MY LIFTERS REPLACED DUE TO THE RATTLE.

WHEN I COLLECTED THE CAR FROM THE GARRAGE I HAD TO TAKE IT STRAIGHT HOME DUE TO THERE BEING NO TAX ON IT ( THE CAR IS NOT USED OVER THE WINTER MONTHS )

ANYWAY WHEN I WENT TO TAKE IT OUT OF MY GARRAGE THE OTHER DAY I NOTICED ON START UP THAT THERE WAS A SQUEAK WHICH I THINK WAS ONE OF MY BELTS. ALSO WHEN I BLIP THE THROTTLE THERES A SLIGHT KNOCK FROM THE ENGINE.

IS THIS JUST A CASE OF THE CAR NEEDING A GOOD FEW MILES TO BED THINGS IN OR DO I HAVE A PROBLEM?

probably just needs to be used a bit. cars don't really like sitting around not doing much. Belts may age peculiarly.

also try taking off CAPSLOCK ;):);)

Watch those belts - start it up and take it for a run at least once every 2 weeks. Cars like to be used. knocking noise should be investigated. Could be signs of a problem starting (big ends/balance shaft bearings???) - get out the stethoscope!!! (big screwdriver placed on engine - handle presses firmly to the ear - be careful of the spinny bits and HT)
