been given a £30 fine, of the boys in blue. they did not give me a warning or a default form just a fine. that can't be wright can it?

Same happened to me.

The girly copper said she was not bothered about getting me to show the new plates as i could just take them off again after.

First fine for them in 2 years, 30 quid every 2 years is cheaper than buying a new set of plates :)

I used to have a plate D17 UEJ which i changed a bit to read DAUE J and got pulled over, from then on i carried a legal set of plates in my boot and on the few other times i got pulled i told them i had already been told to change them and therefore had purchased new plates that very same day, never failed for me!!!
