I have a large amount of japanese service history with my E4.

could any one enlighten me on what Km they would have a cam belt change .

and how would i tell on the service record whether it had been changed at any stage .

The car came into the UK on 74000 km ,but converted to mph now

Aidy,

The last service in japan was at 74648 km and the one previous was at 69694 km.

How ever no real indication that it had been done .but as the car has been serviced quite regular I could assume its been looked after well and been changed .

Don't want to shell out loads of cash when its been changed already .

I think its a good thing to say......

Unless you can be absolutely SURE it has been changed (take the history down to the local take away ;) ) you should really change it.

I dont think anyone needs to be told the consequences/costs if the belt was to fail.

Better safe (and poor) than sorry (and bankrupt)

Just my useless opinion though
