anybody know of a product that would hold the new look/shine on a new intercooler? in the past they tend to fade but id be interested if there was a product that did not interfere with performance or its ability and kept it shiny

you can only laquer alloy to keep it shiny, unless you keep polishing it almost daily ,the slightest stone chip will soon spoil the laquer and you back to square one

Using something like AS to lightly prep/clean up the IC, followed by using a good quality metal sealant will retain the finish.

Auto sol can be quite harsh. Auto Glym metal polish or Meguiars is far gentler. Auto Glym window cleaner (blue label) is great for removing water marks etc but won't mar the finish of alloy.
