can anyone advise of good companies for life/critical illness cover.

just about to step on to the property ladder :D

stuart, im with cahoot just now. was with the halifax but since they merged with BOS the service went right down the drain.

so far ive looked at norwich union and zurich, this critical illness bumps it up a wee bit but best to be safe than sorry :D

do you have any insight as to what the call will be about? or is it one of these phone interviews? (PM me)

There have been some really bad reports on Critical Illness cover recently. Just check what the Critical Illnesses that are covered with each company. They should send you a list of them., if you ask. As they will only pay out if your illness is on their list.

We are with Friends Provident as they seemed to be the best at the time. But that was 3 years ago when we moved.

I use Royal Sun Alliance - we often get competitors trying to tempt us with an 'amazing deal' but they can never match what Royal Sun Alliance already does for us at RSA's price.

Also matey, only get critical illness cover if you think you might be a nominal risk because it can be damned expensive that rises considerably as you get older.

didn't realise BOS were ever "up hill " they provide a crap service cause they pay the staff peanuts , and we know what you get if you pay peanuts ??? monkeys !!!
