Been out of EVOS for a while, whats the cost of a Mint Tommi now? Are there any about?

Found one at 30k plus but thought it was a lot to ask ?
Ah, that's because you're not part of the clique. A few might be worth that much, but as is with the way of these things - others with lesser examples try their luck. If paying that much for one, I'd want it from one of the specialists. (JKS Cars or Torque-GT)

Personally wouldn't pay that much for one unless it was out of a time machine, but we all have our preferences.

Most on MLR are usually down on values because a) they remember how cheap they used to be and b) they don't want them getting expensive and out of reach c) general moaning, jealousy and negativity.

I think you'll get the lowest valuations on here, the very bottom of the market. 2 red TME's were advertised recently for £46k and £49k. This is a major jump in a short time, £30k was strong money just a year ago. Non red ones have jumped as well, there's a very nice silver one for sale on here for £22k, an entirely fair price in my opinion for a stunning example but will seem a big jump for many here who paid less than £12k for their TME's. Good for them by the way.

So a red TME is worth Integrale Evo money now and a silver one is worth 16v Integrale money. That seems about right to me. They are still cheaper than a nice Sierra or Escort Cosworth and much better to drive IMHO. The mystery is how the Evo V and VI are still so cheap. Both deserve to follow the TME up and surely will.

Id say it has more to do with the general car market as a whole. Most of the older desirable cars are becoming stupidly expensive and in most cases, unrealistic.

The car market, like most markets will reach saturation and face a correction, when it happens there will be a lot of people with burnt fingers.

My old CSL is now trading hands for £70k, its a great car but simply not worth that kind of money.

I noticed that. Some of the CSL are even going higher (circa 100k). I adore them but there comes a point as you say when one has to question sanity.

Clear case of "here is what you could have won" for that money.

I don't get the CSL thing at all but £50k for a really good TME is not outrageous, just a lot more than what we've been used to paying for them. As with the Toyota Celica GT4 it's a car with real motorsport pedigree which has been undervalued for way too long. Lots of reasons, too many modified cars, too many crashed and rusted cars and a boy racer image problem. But Cosworths and Skyline GTRs had much the same associations and problems but people seem to be able to look past that now.

One thing to remember is that a cars value should be based on what it sells for and not always what it's for sale for. I could advertise my wagon for £50k but it doesn't mean that's what it's worth.
I think there is quite a few chancers trying to sell at the minute (I don't mean on here) and I also think that there is a bit of artificial market increases being made by a few dealers.

In my opinion a cars value should be what people are prepared to pay not what it sells for.

Which is the same thing.
My point was just because people see a car for sale for £50k, normally from a trader rather than a private sale, this doesn't mean it is worth that as it might not ever sell.

I think MLR members better pray that a mint red Tommi is worth 30k or more. Because if they are worth the little money you say they are, your 7-10s are even worth far less given the fact they are not even collectable yet. So instead of bitching, just accept it's supply and demand and at this point the SPC Mak IS the EVO that the motoring press still speak about and consider the very best of the breed, prices reflect this. The Mak gave Tommi four WRC titles and is the most celebrated EVO of them all. So no point trying to downplay the iconic history and prices they command.

For the love of ****ing God!! I don't pray my Evo is worth anything? It's priceless to me . I didn't buy it so that I could **** myself off every time I think it's gone up in value when one of these pointless threads pops up.

BTW if you want to quote which models are the ones that have the big wins I suggest a better search. If you want to base it on that mine is worth 100k
