thanks my friend we did just that today she woz in for a scan this morning , cheers mate :)
Moses, the first one looks better mate, keeps the whole bottom half of the leg and foot straight whereas the second wont.

Hope your wife has a speedy recovery!
thanks alot my friend u r some man, i hope so too bros, wee twins r suffering lil but my mum and i r trying best tae look after the babies, wee girl and wife lol

cheers :)

Definitely speak to the consultant at the hospital first, especialy if your wife is still in pain as there might be a problem - the cast could be too tight or the bone not setting correctly. Casts are uncomfortable, the itching can be maddening, but the most important thing is that the fracture heals properly. A few weeks discomfort is a small price to pay for making a full recovery.

I hope you're looking after her properly Moses, making sure she gets plenty of rest. How did she do it?
sweetheart u r right, they did just that, i asked them and coz my wifes bone woz broken they advised against the plastic removable ones and its amazing they even had it their but said its for fractures not broken bones so early in this stage, they took aff the old cast and thankfully it woz a temporary one which the nurse didnt tell us last week, they put on a proper full one today , alot lighter and alot stronger and hard and she can put some weight on it now for a whole week she wasnt allowed tae on the old cast and it woz murder and agony for her

God bless the nhs and the good doctors and nurses, they put on a nice cast today and my wife woz happy, it woz bloody bruised black, blue and yellow today, im looking after her sweetheart for sure haha, i said tae her maybe its a blessing fae God coz u have been so busy looking after the twins and my 5 yr old and hardly rested for nearly a yr and a half maybe it woz Gods way of giving u a rest and making me work harder looking after her and the babies and make her mother n law as in my mum run after the babies while im on and off work :D

cheers luv

I would take Carina's opinion Mo. Hope she has a speedy recovery bros.

Jon.
thanks alot bros :)
As Carina states, take details of both to the consultant and ask his opinion.

Casts aren't removeable for a reason Mo.

The Plastic ones you have put links up of are for very minor fractures and sprains. The latter one is for for injuries to the metatarsels (hence the shameless Wayne Rooney advert).

If your wife has badly fractured or broken her ankle, the worst thing she could do is put any weight on it, as it will lengthen the healing process, and could weaken her ankle for ever.

I would stick with the cast, but if she is in lots of pain, still go to the consultant. (strong pain killers are a must in the early weeks).
u r right my friend, they put on a better cast and thank God its strong and she can lay some of her weight on it now

cheers :)

cheers a million :)
