So, let me clarify my question. How do you fill your trans and transfer case? Any tips or things to look for? I am new to the Evo platform, I am more familiar with DSMs. I have just changed the clutch, and flywheel and drained all the fluids from the trans and transfer case. I just wanted to know a procedure than someone has tried that works. I have read the transfer case gets air locked in it using the procedure that Mitsubishi gives you in the manual. The trans might have the same issue? Any information you guys can provide will be much appreciated. If there is a thread here that already talked about this? Link it below for me. Thanks everyone.

Refilling the transmission and transfer case on an Evo IV requires a few simple steps:
  1. Locate the drain plug on the transmission and transfer case. The drain plug on the transmission is located on the underside of the transmission, while the transfer case drain plug is located on the bottom of the transfer case.
  2. Remove the drain plug using a socket wrench, and allow the old fluid to drain out completely. This may take several minutes, so be patient.
  3. Once the old fluid has drained out, replace the drain plug and tighten it securely using the socket wrench.
  4. Locate the fill plug on the transmission and transfer case. The fill plug on the transmission is located on the side of the transmission, while the fill plug on the transfer case is located on the rear of the case.
  5. Using a fluid pump or a funnel, add the recommended amount of transmission fluid to the transmission through the fill plug. Be sure to use the recommended type of fluid, which can be found in the owner's manual or by consulting a mechanic.
  6. Once the transmission is filled, replace the fill plug and tighten it securely using the socket wrench.
  7. Repeat the same process for the transfer case, adding the recommended amount of transfer case fluid through the fill plug.
  8. Once the transfer case is filled, replace the fill plug and tighten it securely using the socket wrench.
  9. Start the engine and allow it to run for a few minutes, checking for leaks around the drain and fill plugs.
  10. Check the fluid levels once more, and add more fluid if necessary.
