how do i convert an mkv video file

I use this to convert from avi and divx to DVD, not sure if you can convert what you are after...

Having a quick look, it seems you can only convert then copy to DVD. No hard copy is saved to the hard drive so prob no good to you :smthumbdo

Old people and technology just dont mix :lol:

I dont know exactly what you want to do either but i use ConvertXtoDVD to to convert files to DVIX ready for burning on DVD.

as for you dal.a :moon: :crackup:

i downloaded yogi bear (720p), but it came in MKV form (4.63 GB) and i want to convert to avi or divx so i can play it on a disc or usb stick.

I have just downloaded Yogi from www.ps3divx.net it was a 700mb avi file. The site is updated quite often. I then use the programme above to convert to DVD to watch on the DVD player. Or you can download using the PS3 and play through that.

I have edited the web address above, .net not .com.
The only problem is, the conversion takes roughly an hour :wallbang:

PM me if you struggle to download the files, it can be a bit of a pain.
