How and where to put the electrical cable from the stepping motor to the EVC unit through the firewall? What is the trick?


Also, what does the HKS EVC Kit for the Evo 6 consist of? Good idea?

My EVC goes through the LEFT side of the car wind/fender. You need to jack the front left side of the car to remove the plastic wheel lining/arch........hope this helps!

Yep, that's where that hole is. Some people just drill another hole into the metal.

Thanks for the info! Got it all installed and it is working well. Setting it at 1.35 bar: actual boost read between 1.33 and 1.38 over the rev range at full boost. Only in fourth gear it climbs briefly to 1.42, then goes down again.

Boost is much more stable than with the std. setup (boost between 1.4 to 1.05 with a 0.8mm restrictor, with sometimes brief spikes at 1.6).

Took the restrictor out with the EVC!

Not nice turbo weather at the moment (33 degrees Celcius): I will go to the Ring late afternoon.
